The UK movie poster design for “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” may very well be the best designed poster for 2009. If it isn’t the best, it is in the Top Three. The design combines an almost “Alice in Wonderland” meets “Monty Python” quality to it. The checkerboard walls, the great color schemes, outlandish characters and strange looking little beasties create an environment that reflects the undoubtedly strange place that Terry Gilliam is going to take the audience in this film. We like everything about this design, especially the conflagration of jelly fish on the bottom left-hand side of the border. The film will be in limited release in the US on Christmas day.
