Seat Elevators: what are they and when are they helpful?

Seat Elevator

My last 2 blogs discussed Tilt and Recline technologies. Any power seating function is the Seat Elevator. Seat elevators can be quite challenging to get funded, but have many functional benefits. A primary benefit is that raising the seat increases functional reach for the client. For children or persons of short stature, this is even more critical. Changing the seat to floor height also can ease transfers, especially in growing children. Finally, kids in particular have a variety of height work surfaces to access – everything from little Kindergarten desks to the dining room table to the counter in Art class. A seat elevator allows the client to access various work surfaces. Want more info? Click Here.
