Chris Columbus is the producer behind the first three Harry Potter movies, and you can see the resemblance while watching the first part of the Percy Jackson trailer. The similarities fade away quickly.
Columbus is helming Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and it looks to be epic - much more so (in my opinion) than the Harry Potter films. I’ve been excited to see this since the first trailer came out, but with the new footage in this trailer, my excitement is starting to boil over! How cool does Uma Thurman look as Medusa?! The movie comes out February 12, 2010.
