The new movie poster for the film “Tell Tale” has been released. The film stars Josh Lucas (”Poseidon“, “Glory Road“) and Lena Headey (”Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles“, “300“). The plot seems strangely familiar to the 2002 film “Blood Work“. That film directed by Clint Eastwood from a Michael Connelly book was not one of Clint’s better movies. In fact it was awful. In that movie Clint’s character (recovering from a heart transplant) is hired by the sister of a murder victim (who as it turns out was the donor for Clint’s heart) to find the killer. In this new movie Lucas’s character Terry, has also had a heart transplant and is guess what? Out searching for the killer who killed the person who donated his new heart.
As for the poster design, it is clever, with the puzzle pieces and the headshot were it not for another recent design for another Lena Headey film called “The Broken”. Wonder if it is the same design firm. The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April. It may have a small theatrical release or go straight to DVD.
