We are very proud to congratulate and announce that Susan Solomon Auerbach, executive vice president of corporate development at Generation Brands, was inducted into the American Lighting Association’s (ALA) Lighting Hall of Fame during ceremonies held on September 15th at the 2009 ALA Annual Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
The ALA Hall of Fame was founded to honor the achievement and contributions of individuals who have dedicated their lives to the lighting industry. Susan is now only the 22nd person - and the second woman - ever to receive the lighting industry’s highest award.
For nearly three decades, Susan has been a driving force behind the company founded by her grandfather Henry Siegel in 1919. As a senior executive of Sea Gull Lighting and the daughter of the late Edwin Solomon, she has diligently worked with partners and customers alike to carefully understand industry trends and then develop high-quality product lines that have successfully satisfied widespread tastes for fashion, flair and function.
